In Loving Memory of Anna Chiu

There are some people who have only stayed a short while on this earth, but have left remarkably deep footprints in our hearts forever.  Anna is definitely one of these beautiful people.  She is one of a kind, unique and special in a gentle, caring way.  Anna, no one will ever take your place in my heart.  I am sad because I know that I will not be able to see or talk to you in person anymore.  But I am comforted because I know that you are now in the loving, trusting hands of our precious Lord.  And our paths will cross as we meet again some day.  I do not know if I have told you often enough what a wonderfully true friend you are.  I want to thank God for granting me the opportunity to get to know you in the past year, and especially this summer.  You have taught me so many things, provided much support, and have become a dear sister to me.  You are an angel that represents love, joy, and serenity.  I miss you terribly, but I know that you are resting in a better place now.  I am speaking in the present tense because even though you have left this world, in my mind, you are still here with me.

When I first heard the news,
I could not believe my ears.
And all I could do
Was fight back my tears.

I didn’t want to face the truth.
I tried to push it out of my mind.
But now I know you will always be here,
And never leave me behind.

Even though you’re gone,
Your memory lives on in our hearts.
We will remain strong because we know
That you want us to continue doing our part.

Your passionate gaze, your warm embrace,
The magic smile that touched us still lingers on your face.
May you rest in peace now in those mighty arms of love.
I find peace within ’cause you’re watching me from above.

That’s a great poem you dedicated to your friend. They say that when people past, you’re supose to celebrate their life instead mourn over it ending. I feel your poem suports that idea.

Usually, I don’t like reading poems about a lost loved one because it makes me emotional sometimes, however this was quite nice. You wrote with your heart.

Thanks, Kym. ❤ Yes. Actually, I recall at the memorial that someone else quoted along the lines of, "When you enter the world, you cry and everyone laughs. When you leave the world, everyone cries and you laugh."

I know what you mean. Thanks for reading. ^^
