August 10, 2010 at 10:44 pm 123 comments

WINNERS ANNOUNCED!!! =D

I tried to pick the winners based on the set criteria of thoughtfulness/creativity/uniqueness/humour. These 6 winners’ entries stood out to me because they were special or made me laugh in terms of what they’ll do to cheer Brian up.😄 I purposely asked you guys to answer this question so I could put something together for Brian when he needs some cheering up. ^^ There were A LOT of wonderful entries and it was seriously very hard to narrow down the final 6!! =P I’m really touched that you guys took the time to do this for Brian, and I’m sure he’d be grateful as well. May we continue to walk alongside him as we show him love and support. ^^ Thanks to everyone’s participation in this giveaway!! Love you guys!!❤

WINNERS:

SIGNED CD:
Jina (jina_me@hotmail.com)
If Brian was feeling down, I would bring him to walk along a quiet beach, gazing over the oceans. I want him to scream at the top of his lungs and let the waves bring his troubles away. As the night falls, I would bring him to a place lighted with candles to bring some warmth to him. I would write “I LOVE BRIAN” on the sand and say it out loud. We would play with sparklers, eat some snacks, and chat till dawn comes and watch the beautiful sunrise. I would end it by saying a prayer with him, and that GOD has better plans for him.

FOLDER POSTER:
Ava Vandenbosch @vitagentava
If Brian was feeling down, I would treat him out to his favorite ice cream store and give him a small gift to cheer him up. I would start the day by being an attentive listener, providing care and concern for his sorrows. Afterwards, we could then go watch a funny movie together to lighten up his mood, something like “Vampires Suck.” Then, we can go on a late night trip to the beach for a grunion run, which will definitely make him laugh because me catching fish is just simply hilarious. Lastly, we could run miles and miles in the pitch dark screaming to let our souls revive again.

DeDe @Super_dede
If Brian was feeling down, I would start dancing to girls’ songs (haha) and make a rap. I think the best way to make someone feel better is to help the person release his sad feelings; therefore, I would take Brian to a beach and give him a note and bottle. I would tell him to write his sadness on the note and put it in the bottle and let it flow with the water. Afterwards, we can go karaoke and dance to girls’ songs. BUAHAHA…

Sylvia T. @SwtLollipop
If Brian was feeling down, I would
first buy a HUGE lollipop that’s the size of his head for him.😀 Then, I’ll paint my face, put on an afro, wear some colorful pajamas, two different colorful shoes, and finally, stick a medium-sized tomato on my nose so that I’ll look like a clown~ I’ll do some funny dances and sing his songs in some kind of funny accent or in a chipmunk voice!! Hopefully, he will be a little cheered up by then, so I’ll paint HIS face too and encourage him to take sticky photos with me, both of us looking like clowns.😀

DaQuan @DQmusic3
If Brian was feeling down, first, I would listen to his problems and try to give him some advice. Then, I would tell how I believe that he could get through it. “Brian, I know you’re feeling down but you will definitely get through this and come out stronger. I have been a fan of yours for almost 5 years now, and I know how much you’ve been through. Through all the good and bad times as you had as FTTS and all of it after during the start of your solo career. Trust me, I have faith in you.” That’s what I would say to him. =)

Miza Marali
If Brian was feeling down, I would drive him to somewhere relaxing, be it a beach, on top of a hill or even to a park. I would suggest a picnic outing and then prepare a surprise meal for him. If he is still feeling down, I would turn up the Brian’s music on my iPod up loud just to tease him. I’ll play it so loudly and sing along to it loudly, badly, and off-key right in front of him. Brian must be thinking I’m a total nut, but I guarantee he will laugh and not feeling down-er anymore. I would assure that I will always be there for him.

Jina, Ava, DeDe, Sylvia, DaQuan, Miza, please email your address to me ASAP at: brianjoocanada[at]gmail.com ^^

GIVEAWAY:

Grand Prize
1 x [Signed copy of Manifold CD]

Other Prizes
5 x [Manifold Poster (folded)]

I had promised that I would do something special once we’ve hit 500 followers/fans on my Brian fans Twitter/Facebook. We surpassed that mark long ago on Twitter, but have just recently reached that milestone on Facebook. So, this is my way of thanking you guys for your support of Brian and me. ^^V

This giveaway was made possible due to the generosity of my friend from Japan @MIDORI_JAPAN! Upon learning that she was attending Brian’s event in Japan back on July 24th, I had asked her to get me the penlight that was only being sold at the event. Lo and behold, she got me a BUNCH of other Brian and Fly to the Sky goodies!! I was really touched. <333 She guessed that I already had the poster, which I did, so she said I could give them to friends. But she didn’t know I already had a signed copy of Manifold. I had asked a friend from Thailand to get me a copy of Manifold so I can get the free poster since she is currently studying in Korea. And she had gotten it signed at an autograph session, which was addressed to me. Since I don’t need two signed copies of Manifold, I decided that I would give this one away along with the posters. =D

If Brian was feeling down, I would cook him any comfort food he wanted, I would also offer my support not as a fan, but as a concerned person. I’ve been told i am good at listening to other people’s concerns so I would offer to let him vent his frustrations. Plus, everyone needs a hug, so I’d give him that too. ^^
[I know it sounds cheesy, but hugs do help!]

If Brian was feeling down, I would sing him his korean version of In My Head and tell him that there’s no need to feel down because there are fans that’s there by his side all the time. I would also try to find a way to cheer him up and compliment him so that his feelings would subside. I would treat him out also for a lunch or snack. Haha. It would probably help him to not feel down and would probably cheer him up. And surely we won’t have language problems because he knows how to speak English! And lastly, tell him “Brian fighting and Take Care always!”

If Brian was feeling down, I would… sit down with him and listen to everything he wants to say. for exactly 1 hour at most keke. the next 20 mins will be spent on pasta cooking/eating. last part, 1 hour, reading bible and finding hopes again. so i’ll spend 2 hours 20 mins, not the world’s record, but i’m sure i can help him stand on his 2 feet again. above all, i’m there for him, and i believe he’ll appreciate that alone🙂

If Brian was feeling down, I would take him to theater to watch a movie. I’m sure he would love to watch Step Up 3D because he is such a good dancer. And since I read on twitter that he is getting afraid to take the airplane, I would go with him then show him it is not that dangerous and that it is so rare that it crashes. I think I would be a good friend, I’m caring. Maybe I can try to write a song for him, showing that he is my favorite, and that he helps me getting throught a lot of things.

If Brian was feeling down, I would…
send him an air ticket to get to where i am, since AirAsia is flying to Malaysia from Incheon now, take him out on a car cruise to cool his mind off, if it still doesn’t help, we’ll head to the beach to get some cool sea breeze in the evening. After that, it’s gonna be food! Where i am, we have a lot of unique fresh seafood, and i hope he’ll enjoy them and get his mood back! Or at least be amused with the different sea creatures and let his mind off of his problems.

If Brian was feeling down, I would not focus on the reason why his down, but i’d try to cheer him up without making him thinking about those bad things. i’d just make him an energetic breakfast and then i’d take him in the mountains to show him the beautiful landscape. he could give vent to his feelings and feel the warm hug of Nature ^^ i think nature is the best place to recover one’s soul~

If Brian was feeling down, I would ask him if he wants to talk about it and would listen to him if it he does. Then i’d try to cook his favorite meal including appetizer and dessert. The next plan would be to take the car and just drive around and/or go to any place he wants to go to that makes him feel happy. When the evening comes i’d take him to the ocean to a place where you can just sit, talk and watch the sunset. If he’d still feel down after all that i’d stay the night to watch movies and tuck him in.🙂

I’m doing for a friend of mine who really wants to have this signature of Brian. And this is only for her….

If I knew Brian is feeling down, I’d rather sit back and wait for him to talk. I won’t start a conversation that might force him to speak or think hard to speak nicely. I let him be what he wants to be that time. I’ll just sit and wait …. if he needs to talk, I’m sure he’ll talk about or about something else. All I need him to know that he’s not alone during that down hard time. If he think he needs a shoulder to lay down, then he’d just see my shoulder (even if I’m way shorter than him^^) and lay it down on it. Simply words I’ll just stay by his side to show my support.

If Brian was feeling down, I would first ask him to explain what was bothering him. Whether he chose to explain or not, I would offer the best advice I could muster (if that was the case), or offer a few consoling words. If Brian was feeling down, I would take him to the roof of the tallest building we could find, and we would fly. We would fly off of it and go past the moon and the stars. We’d keep on going, further and further away until neither of us knew which way was up or down, so it wouldn’t matter how you would feel.

and if wants to talk about it i’ll lend my ear to him, and listen wholeheartedly to him… comfort him within my powers[powers??!! ha!ha!]. And tell him there is HIM who is always there for us, loving us unconditionally,, He is a Brother, A Father, A friend.
And lastly, i would do his trademark.. a BRIAN JOO that marked in my heart… his……. SEXY DANCE!!! nyeha!

If Brian was feeling down, I would… Do my best to comfort him. If he was feeling sick, I would cook him some delicious and healthy food, and make sure he kept warm. But if he was feeling sad or something, I would talk to him and try to help help him with whatever was going on. Once he was feeling a little better, I would take him out somewhere where he could have fun and get his mind off whatever problems are going on with him. I’d just be a good friend to him, and be there for him no matter what.

If Brian was feeling down, I would first give him a hug. I’d like him to know that I’ll be there, whenever. We’ll go for a drive (I realised through his tweets that he likes that), and then we’ll go eat all of his favourite food! After that, we’ll go walk along the streets or go shopping for his favourite stuff.
Then I’d call Eru and Hwanhee along and we’ll play basketball until everyone’s exhausted. Kekeke!

If Brian was feeling down, I would…Ask what the problem is and give him some advice;Bring him to an ice cream store and buy him lots until he’s full(pay for it,of course!) and maybe bring him to a neoraebang and sing songs with him, that would be fun. :3 I don’t dance so I’d probably just sing him lots of songs and maybe sing duets with him~😄 After…We could play board games or play other games to cheer him up more.>:D And lastly, before he sleeps, give him a biiiig hug and leave a cup of hot choco beside his bed~! ^^

If Brian was feeling down, I would hug him real tight and listen to all his worries. I would do my best to give him my advice and opinions, and then bring him out to the beach to belt out his frustrations. After that, I’d let him choose where he’d want to go. If he says to let me choose, I’d bring him to the amusement park to unwind and just have fun! I’d tell him it’s always good to let the inner kid in us out. If he’s up to it, I’d help call up friends of his and we can have a slumber party over at someone’s house!

Then I took him to do Yoga with me to clear our mind and get some peace. And after do Yoga, I’ll let Brian chooses what he wanna do to make him happy.

If Brian was feeling down, I will bring him to the amusement park and enjoy rides. We will enter some ghost house and I think he will just laugh. We will take some exciting rides like roller coasters and the like. We will also take some kiddie rides. It will make him forget his problem and will make him a kid again. And last, we will take some rides with water. We will just play and enjoy the whole day.

first buy a HUGE lollipop that’s the size of his head for him😀 then I’ll paint my face, put on an afro, wear some colorful pajamas, two different colorful shoes, and finally, stick a medium-sized tomato on my nose so that I’ll look like a clown~ I’ll so some funny dances and sing his songs in some kind of funny accent or in a chipmunk voice!! Hopefully he will be a little cheered up by then.. so I’ll paint HIS face too after and encourage him to take sticky photos with me, both of us looking like clowns😀

If Brian was feeling down, I would sing In My Head and dance in such a dorky way, it’d make him laugh, if that doesn’t help him I’d buy him ice-cream because everyone loves ice-cream😀 I would probably also make up a random song on the spot for him to laugh at, because it is one of my specialities.

If Brian was feeling down, I’d go with him for some ice crea- no, its not another one of these comments. Just no. If he was feeling down, we should do something that will help him forget his worries. And ice cream doesn’t really do that. Unless you’re that big a fan of ice cream. So instead, we should go bungee jumping😀. That’ll help him forget about his worries. Cause I doubt you can really think straight when falling like that. And after that watch some funny clips on Youtube to make him laugh. Then by the end of the day he’ll be fine! ^^

If Brian was feeling down, I would… Be Dreaming and during that dream, I’ll tell him to Erase all memories of what’s wrong. While I try to cheer him up In My Head this would be like a First Date with Brian. I would just show him Family Guy’s Bird Is the Word never fails. Then we would watch his favourite movie then eat his favourite food which is pasta, and play Street Fighter and I would call him Sexy Man to make him feel more confident LOL. I’ll let him pwn me in Street Fight too. Lastly we would go to Starbucks for a Mocha Frapuccino.

If Brian was feeling down, I’d make funny faces to make him laugh instead of doing cute faces. If that doesn’t make him laugh I would take him and go sightseeing. Since Brian likes to go to Hip Hop Clubs, clubs that put on music and you listen to it while drinking beverages like juice, I would take him to a Hip Hop Club. After that we can talk and relax while listening to music. That would make Brian relaxed and maybe he could tell me his worries and get things off his chest. After that he won’t be feeling down no more.

But if that still did not work after 3 days I will wear Hwanhee mask and imitate Hwanhee’s singing while dancing the gorilla dance and Brian’s trademark sexy dance and adding a bit of kkab dance(shaking my legs vigorously) to it. But if that still did not work I will use my last weapon. I will wear Janet Jackson mask and ask him to marry me ;p

If Brian was feeling down, I would drive him to somewhere relaxing. Be it a beach, on top of a hill or even to a park. I would suggest a picnic outing and then prepare a surprise meal for him. If he is still feeling down, I would turn up the Brian’s music on my ipod up loud just to tease him. Ill play it so loudly and sing along to it, loudly, badly and off-key right in front of him. Brian must thought I was a total nut but I guarantee he will laugh and not feeling down-er anymore. I would assure that I will always be there for him.

If Brian was feeling down, I would hide myself and then scream, “LOOK! IT’S BRIAN JOO!” On cue, the fangirls would come running in and I would sneak him away from the riot to safety. Once hidden, we would exchange pleasantries and introductions. When he asks if I saw who exposed him, I would play innocent, but fail at keeping up the façade. Hopefully he doesn’t get angered, and we have a good laugh. Now Brian was being tracked by his adoring fans, we would need to find a way to get to his schedules without being spotted. How do we accomplish this? We sneak around like ninjas, of course!

If Brian was feeling down, I would first talk to him and get the problems out of him. It’s okay if he doesn’t want to. I would play him some lively music to lighten up his mood. Get him out of the house, bring him somewhere nice! Perhaps tell him my problems, telling that he’s not alone. Do some prayers together. We’d hit the amusement park for some extreme rides. Bring him to karaoke to sing his heart out and maybe bring his friends over but I don’t know whether he would like that or not. Learn some random language with him – things can get pretty hilarious with this. :>

Anyway if hes sick ill give medicine then continue from there trying to make him smile & laugh by dancing very silly & doin crazy faces & attitudes. Plus its so he doesnt get bored ill be his entertainment ^^ but if hes feeling sad/depressed ill ask whats wrong/what happened? to hear why hes sad so i can do my best to comfort him & still do what i listed at the top & a lil extra like dress up or imitation. Maybe ill ask if i can give him a massage from like all the stress & oooo i could make him food & make it look cute xD

After he told me, I’d be sure to make him smile with the multitude of corny jokes I have at my disposal, and help him to feel better – no matter what the situation is, by boosting his confidence. Then, I’d do a crazy rendition of “In My Head” for him and start dancing like the crazy fangirl I am…

If Brian was feeling down, I would fly to Seoul and take him for an afternoon walk with his dog Jersey along the Han River. I’d give him my encouraging words, saying I’d always be there for him whenever he needs company. Jersey too. Oh, this is what I would do with these following conditions:
    – I know Brian in person
    – I have money for the flight ticket
    – I don’t have dogs phobia
So all I could do for now is sending gifts with an encouraging message. I’d send something that would make him smile or laugh, actually thinking of a singing elephant I saw last week.

Then, I would tell Brian that no matter what’s happening, his fans, his friends, & God will always be supporting and loving him. I’ll also tell him that I’ve a surprise for him, so I’ll take him to the park and from a spot on the green grass, we’ll watch the stars together and he will be able to explain to me what is going on.

If Brian was feeling down, I would listen to him explain why he is down. After that, he should feel a little better and then I’ll try to make him feel better with encouragement! I’ll bring him to Lotte World where we can go on the free fall thing, and bring all his worries away! Honestly, if Brian was feeling down, I would be down too, so this can be a two people thing. I’ll buy him whatever he likes and.. yeah. Sorry, this is all I can afford to buy. ^^

    Thank You!

If Brian was feeling down,I would cheer him up,of course.Perhaps by making jokes, giving him some chocolates or sing some of his songs or maybe telling him how much his fans support him very much.Indeed giving him some love.Though I can’t cheer him up so quickly, but i’ll do what i could do.And last but not least, giving him some smiles, hug and attentions would make him better.

If Brian was feeling down, I would use my creativity, uniqueness cute act and thoughtfulness to make him happy. I would do the chicken dance, or the Macarena for him. The wackier, the better. I wouldn’t mind being an obnoxiously happy person for him. I would pick a dandelion or blade of grass for him and tell him that I picked this weed just for you. Hehe I hope to make him laugh at my silliness, I want to make him smile at my sweet nature^^ I hope Brian will realize that I really appreciate him from the bottom of my heart and always want him to be happy ~♥~

If Brian was feeling down, I would officially announce it Brian Joo fun day, where we can do whatever he wants. Whether it’s sky diving off a plane, bungee jumping off a cliff, I would do it just because it’s Brian Joo fun day. I would stand by his side, comfort him, and listen to him as he expresses himself. I will stick with him the way glue sticks to paper until I can make him turn his frown upside down. I’ll be that friend who’ll dance with him in the sunlight and walks beside him in the shadows.

If Brian was feeling down, I would hold a surprise party for him. The party will have a “Be Happy” theme where everyone is required to wear vibrant and cheerful colour! On top of that, I would make sure that his family members and close friends whom he hasn’t talk to for a long time attend the party. I’m sure within an hour or so, especially with his close ones, he will be happy and all smiley again!

If Brian was feeling down, I would brightened up his day by giving him a sunflower and a balloon with a smiley🙂 face and a yummy breakfast! Later, I would bring him to wherever he wants and bring him to sit on a ferris wheel which overlooks the sea and show him that there’s so much to see in this world so, be happy! I would bring him for dinner near the beach where we can hang out and tell jokes or imitating him to make him laugh! Lastly, I would give him all the polaroid pictures taken that day as memories and end the day by praying for him.

p/s just telling, the ferris wheel would be safe, of course :p
and the polaraid pictures will be pictures taken throughout the day that captures the moment. And the balloon is actually colourful, couldn’t insert it in because then it will be more than 110 words. lol.

If Brian was feeling down, I would cheer him up first by asking him to tell me his problems if he wants to and ask him to go out with me, and pretend I hit hard the light pole on street so he’ll laugh hard. then i’ll bring him to his favourite restaurant and ask him to eat until he feel so full that his stomach can’t take it anymore, then, I would bring him to go for a relax, and try to surprise him with some funny dance which I will possibly hire from a clown nearby. and at last, a big FUNNY doll that make him laugh everytime.

If Brian was feeling down, I would walk away from him, then call him on his cell phone and sing “My Angel” to him with Hwanhee on three-way. I would proceed to walk toward him with a big plate of pasta, and play violin and piano for him while dancing while he eats. Then, after we’re full and content, I’d take him to church, where he could either confide in me, or confide in the Lord and feel at peace with the world again. Finally, since we both speak English, we could go correct some Korean celebrities’ Engrish and laugh our heads off at their ineptness (: Then hug<3

should be just shy of 110 (:

If Brian was feeling down, I would take the next flight across the ocean to cheer him up. When I get there, I would give him a surprise visit with a bunch of his favorite goodies. I would also cook some delicious dishes for him, then take him on a road trip to take things off his mind and overcome all his fears with him. I will also prepare a special gift for him by purchasing his parents plane tickets to visit him and comfort him, then prepare a big feast for all of us and inviting all his close friends over to eat. Of course after the feast, we will play all of Brian’s favorite games and watch all his favorite shows.

If Brian was feeling down, I would cook him some of his favourite dishes, served in bed of course. Then after he eats I would take him outside. After a comfortable silence I would scream in his ear to look up, and when he looks up there would be a huge banner from an airplane that says “FLY TO THE SKY BRIAN! TO ME YOU’RE MY SKY AND I’LL DEFINTIELY FLY TO YOU!” His song ‘I wish! I wish!’ would be blasting except it would be remix and it now says ‘I wish Brian would cheer up!’

If Brian was feeling down, I would…show him some of the kkab moves i learned from my friend Jo kwon (jk). That would surely lift his mood. Then, I’d take him to one of those fields near a river/lake where the train passes by, & when it does I’d tell him to scream it all out (I saw it in a drama, hopefully not one he’s familiar with). Lastly, I’d give him a bear hug. ^^
