The Story Behind WC Project (2010)

Here’s the unplanned project I put together for Brian, DJ Dorothy, and Arirang Radio Evening Groove. XD I didn’t expect to send something to Brian again so soon, but after our phone conversation, I decided to send him and DJ Dorothy a copy of “Letters from a Nut” along with the 16 wacky emails that I have written over the course of my university years in my spare time. =P I also wrote 2 new ones that are specially dedicated to Brian and Dorothy and included a short story. *LOL* I hope they won’t think I’m a weirdo. Keke~ Also got them some goodies on the side. ^^

Since the wacky emails were only shared with close friends, I haven’t thought about posting them up on this blog. I don’t even know if you guys would want to read them. Haha… If you do, then I’ll consider it. Or maybe I’ll just post #17 & #18. But the short story was posted here a while ago. =D

Tuning in on a Wednesday night
To Evening Groove on Arirang Radio
Eager to listen to Brian and DJ Dorothy
Because I love both of them so

Then, out of the blue, my heart unprepared
A call from Brian and DJ Dorothy was received
Unexpected, yet unable to contain my excitement
I wondered if my mind was somehow being deceived

But lo and behold, it was real and not a dream
I was grinning non-stop while listening to their delightful voices
I thought I’ve been transported to Heaven for what have I done
To deserve such a blessing to have been one of their choices?

Throughout the conversation, I enjoyed every moment
With all my senses, I tried to capture everything
I cannot thank you enough, Brian, DJ D, and Arirang
The pure joy I experienced made me want to dance in glee and sing

The boys performing a track with choreo is refreshing to see. Keke~ Thought I would make another wallie set. I wanted to watch the full-length MV and make additional screen caps, but my CD still hasn’t arrived yet for some reason. >.< Anyway, the style was similar to the last set because I’m putting a lil’ something together for the boys. ^^

Brian Manifold Project (2010)

Here’s the project compiled. I didn’t include pics of the photobook since that’s already part of the project video. ^^ Besides the photobook, I also sent along some side gifts and a care pack with 10 types of items for Brian. 😛 Hope he’ll like everything! Heehee~ He knows the package is on its way and will keep an eye out for it. XD

For the care pack, I wrote short rhymes because I saw Brian reciting his own poem on “Quiz to Change the World” and penning his own lyrics for that Christmas Wishes collab with other artists. =P Then, I decided to do the same for the other gifts. Hope he’ll find it amusing to read. =D Keke~

EDIT: Brian has messaged me to let me know that he has received the package and told me that he loves the photobook and water bottles. ^^ Thanks again, everyone!

The Most Fly

A slight scent catches my attention and my eyes are drawn to you. A quick glance tells me that you are the one that I have been dreaming of all along. As you walk on, my eyes trail after your crimson red dress. Never before have I believed in love at first sight. But now, I can’t deny the feelings of my heart. I inch forward a couple of steps but feel dizzy all of a sudden. I can’t see anything. And I can’t hear anything either. What’s going on? This is so weird… I wobble slightly, somehow feeling weak. I try to grab a hold of something but only feel myself flailing. What should I do? What should I do?

I sturdy myself and shake my head a few times. My eyes search for you in the crowd, but you have already dashed out of sight. Flashes of you appear in my head… I can’t help but just think of you because you are all that fills my mind… I know that you have to be the one. Though it feels as if it can’t be true, I know that you’re the one. You must be the one.

From then on, I start to hang out in the same area, hoping for the chance to see you again. My longing for you drives me so crazy and makes me so possessive. I only want you for myself. I don’t understand why I’m becoming this way. All I can think of is you… In my head, it’s only you… Though I feel jaded by these thoughts of you, I can’t bring myself to stop. For some reason, you’re breathing in my heart and in my heart is where you reside. With every beat of my heart, I sense you within.

Days pass and one late afternoon, I finally spot you walking in the distance towards the same spot that I had initially seen you. Dressed in a chic turquoise jacket with a black crop top, I find myself mesmerized by you. The sheer sight of you halts me in my steps and puts me in a trance. I notice the countless guys that are surrounding you and giving me the evil eye. Instead of darting away, I meet their cold gaze without flinching. Frankly, I want to show them that they ain’t got no chance with you. Why? Because you’re mine. So, I boldly state, “Y’all listen up! Starting today, she’s my girl. So, y’all better step aside.”

Surprised, you smile and saunter towards me. “So, you’re my man, eh?”

In one swift motion, I pull you close to me and whisper in your ear, “You’d bet.”

You draw back your tresses and give me a once-over. Decked out in leather and a white tee, I have no doubt that I’m the most fly guy out of the lot who was hanging around you. My fate with you is sealed and I can finally put the turmoil in my head to rest.

Déjà Vu

“Yo punk, Move It! This is MY seat!”

A loud voice jostled me from my thoughts. I had been Dreaming… Awakening from my slumber, two piercing eyes filled with anger stared into mine. A man twice my size hovered over me.

“I’m sor-sor-sorry…” I managed to stammer as I swiftly got up and picked up my tray.

With a grunt, the giant sat down with his mammoth friends. I could feel his daggers burning a hole in my back, but I decided not to look back. The last thing I needed was to get into an argument, and most likely, be beaten into a pulp.

I shuffled to the garbage receptacle and dumped the remainder of the lunch I had tried to force myself to eat. I guess I must have fallen asleep despite the hustle and bustle of the fast food joint.

Leaving the smell of burgers and fries behind, I walked along the sidewalk. One Step, two steps, three steps, four… Each time my feet made contact with the pavement, my legs seemed to grow heavier. Stopping at an intersection, I wondered which way I should head. I did not know. So, I allowed myself to be led across the street by a passing group of teenagers as I continued to wander aimlessly.

Gazing up at the sky, the sun beamed down with a radiant smile. Its brilliant rays seemed to mock me as I tried to Erase the events of the past few days. Though I knew it was wrong of me from the beginning, I could not help myself… The more I got to know her and the more time we spent together, the more I felt drawn to her. And before I knew it, I realized that I Loved My Friend’s Girl. I tried hard to suppress my feelings. I fed myself endless thoughts of honour and friendship and brotherhood, and how I mustn’t Do It. But it was no use… In the end, I made her My Girl and lost my best friend.

And now, a year later, I found myself in the same predicament. When she approached me the other day with an uneasy look on her face, I asked, “Tell Me Baby, what’s wrong?”

“I don’t think this is gonna work…”
“What do you mean?”
“I… I’ve found somebody else… It’s… It’s your friend, Darren…” Her voice trailed off. Then she turned around and left.

As if struck by a Bullet, I fell on my knees. Looking at her back that was growing smaller and smaller, I felt numb from head to toe. My mind collapsed, unable to comprehend what had just happened, yet chiding me because of the irony of the situation. Tears spilled down my cheeks uncontrollably and I was at a complete loss… All I felt was incessant pain… My heart whispered to me, “Lock Me Up and never unlatch me again…”

All that took place merely two days, twelve hours, and ten minutes ago… My life since then has been a blur… And though the tears have ceased, I can’t help but wonder… Where do you go when the Tears Run Dry?
